Alex has been playing the euphonium for over 10 years. His teachers have included: Colin Wise (US Navy Band), Andrew Hitz (Boston Brass), Franz Winkler (Vienna Symphony), William McElheney (Vienna Philharmonic), and Dr. Jonathan Fowler (West Chester University). He performed a senior recital in November of 2016, featuring works by Philip Sparke, Barbara York, Oystein Baadsvik, and Fernando Deddos. In December of 2016, he was the winner of the Sunderman Conservatory's Annual Concerto Competition, performing Philip Sparke's Pantomime with the Gettysburg College Wind Symphony, and he has been the principal euphonium of this ensemble since 2014. He has been a soloist on multiple occasions (on baritone horn) in the Gettysburg College Bullets Marching Band, and the Downingtown West High School Blue and Gold Marching Band. In high school, he participated in several District, Regional, and All-State Festivals, earning a seating as the first chair euphonium in the PMEA All-State Concert Band his senior year. Throughout his high school and collegiate careers, Alex has performed on the stages of Carnegie Hall, the Kimmel Center, and the Kennedy Center. Repertoire performed includes:

Outside of the Sunderman Conservatory, Alex actively participates in Tuba Christmases in various cities including Philadelphia, Washington D. C., and the Tuba Carol Fest in Gettysburg, performing at both the Kimmel Center and the Kennedy Center, and plans to continue this tradition in the future.
