Alex has sung in school and community choirs since he was very young, including his time in the Kennett Symphony Children's Choir and the Organization of American Kodaly Educators (OAKE) National choirs. He has also performed in musicals such at "The Wizard of Oz,""The Music Man," "State Fair," "Phantom of the Opera," "Titanic," and "Thoroughly Modern Millie," among others. At Gettysburg, he has been a member of the Gettysburg College Choir all four years, and has toured domestically as well as to Nicaragua with this group. He has also been a member of the Concert Choir at Gettysburg College. Most recently, Alex traveled to Aix-en-Provence, France, to perform with the Delaware Choral Academy's Choral Scholar Program.
In addition to ensembles and activities in the Sunderman Conservatory of Music, Alex has been a member of Gettysburg College's student-run all-male a capella group, known as Drop the Octave. He served as the co-music director of the group, and has provided many arrangements and an original composition for the group to sing.
